Welcome 🙂

I’m Kirstie. Thanks for clicking over here!

Here you can expect to find my ramblings about how I build my capsule wardrobe each season. Yes, I have a capsule wardrobe! The whole concept behind the capsule wardrobe, I think, is fascinating. Less clutter and more clarity. Makes sense, right? Right. Yet I can’t tell you how many times I would find myself surrounded and overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff I had in my wardrobe, but the same old “I have nothing to wear!” dark cloud would always creep back into my mind.

One day, I stumbled across Caroline’s blog, Un-Fancy. I have to say, this is what really inspired me to have a huge sort out, and swear off crazy shopping sprees and buying loads of cheap pieces that I would wear once then forget about, or even worse, never wear!

That was at some point during last year. Ever since then, I’m proud to say, I have stuck to a smaller, more wearable wardrobe. Now, I don’t have super strict rules on numbers or anything, or not buying things at certain times. I’m just a lot more thoughtful about my purchases. Is it really me? Will I wear it? Does it go with at least 3 other pieces already in my wardrobe?

And let’s face it, more money in the bank to spend on making memories instead of clothes is much more appealing, don’t you think?

I’m slowly trying to take this approach to other aspects of my life as well as clothes. Clearing out the home I share with my partner and our golden retriever has made me feel more focused, and more peaceful. (Home improvements still ongoing!)

I am going to use this blog as a place to document my capsule wardrobe experiments, failings and everything in between! And if you’re along for the ride too, then great! Let me know how you find the idea of decluttering in all aspects of your life. I’m very excited to get this started!

Anyway, that’s a little about me and why I’ve started this blog. Any recommendations of other blogs will be appreciated, I love seeing what others do with their personal style and capsule wardrobes!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂 x

  1. We have such a similar view on capsule wardrobes – no strict rules or restrictions, just being much more thoughtful and intentional with purchases and realizing that quality really is better than quantity 🙂
I love your blog and I’m excited to continue following along!

  2. Thanks so much!

I’m definitely still learning a lot, especially about ethical brands, but I’m much better than I used to be!

Glad you’re enjoying the content and happy you’re here 🙂

  3. Hi Kirstie! Stumbled across your blog today. Thought I’d say Hi as Ive recently started documenting my sustainable lifestyle experiment on a blog too! Can’t believe how many of us there are! Love your style and the fact that you don’t stick strictly to the rules around numbers and when to purchase etc. I also adopt this method as I think it fits in with real life abit more but who knows maybe one day I will reach a point where those rules don’t really feel like rules because I’m truly content with my own style and what I have in my wardrobe! Hapy blogging! x
