Weekend in Outfits | Two from London

Hey guys! Seeing as I’ve just come back from a lovely little break in London, I thought I’d make the second ever Weekend in Outfits post all about my two favourite looks I wore whilst away.

If you read my post last Thursday, (here) then you’ll recognise these outfits from the plan I drew up before I went away. Today we’ll take a look at them in a little more detail.

So, onto the outfits!

This is my typical go to kind of outfit. Loose jumper, skinny jeans and boots. It just works. And I’m all about easy to put together outfits that are practical and comfortable!

I wore this on Saturday for a day of exploring East London, followed by a little shopping in Soho.

Although you can’t tell from the photo, I had my hero thermal on underneath which kept me super warm all day, without the bulk that comes from having to wear a huge winter coat.

I love the shorter sleeves on the jacket, and how you can see a little sleeve action poking out from underneath. They also take the jacket away from being too smart, into an extremely versatile piece that I’ve been loving with just about everything in my wardrobe!

I messed about with my jumper all day – tucked in or un-tucked? It actually works well in both ways, however I finally settled on tucked in, just to add such much needed length to my legs, and to contrast the long jacket with the high waisted silhouette.

And finally, my long necklace adds a little interest to the look, while still not being too fussy. Win win.

This jumper actually featured in the first Weekend in Outfits post, but as it was layered under the jacket from Look One of this edition, you may not have noticed the gorgeous ruffle shoulder detail.

This time I kept it super simple. The weather had turned by Monday, and it was sunny and warm. No thermal needed. Not even a jacket. Is that the first days of Spring I see coming?

With such a statement jumper on top, I kept the look fairly clean and stripped back everywhere else. Just my saddle bag and black boots and I’m good to go. Not forgetting the sunnies, of course!

This look is perfect for just about anything. It’s the kind of formula I reach for again and again. I love how the detail on the jumper elevates this look from being too plain.

I actually wore this for a mini shopping trip around Central London, then to travel home I just added my jacket and hat (always wear the bulkiest things when travelling – space saving technique number one!).

So, there we have it! Second ever Weekend in Outfits complete! What do you think? Do you have any outfit ‘formulas’ you always reach for?

PS. Apologies, I didn’t take my camera with me – these are from a phone camera if you’re wondering! (Thanks Vickie!)
