Hey guys! Happy Sunday, and Happy Mothers Day!
Today, there’s no Style Series.
To tell you the truth, I’ve been thinking of switching it up a little. I’m still going to be doing the Style Series, but taking into account work schedule and other things, I’ve been struggling to find the right time to take all the photos for it.
Plus, I want it to be real. I want to show 4 different outfits that I’ve been wearing and will continue to wear throughout the season, rather than 4 things I’ve thrown together in haste because I’ve realised it’s coming round to another Sunday and I haven’t had time to shoot anything.
Ideally, I’ll be able to do a Style Series post every 2-3 weeks. With real life, every day and wearable outfits. That hopefully you’re going to love just as much as I do! Sound cool?
But don’t worry, there’s going to be plenty of outfit inspiration in between!
Having just shared my Spring 2017 Capsule Wardrobe with you all, I’m feeling inspired and can’t wait to start showing you all the outfits I’ve been putting together from these pieces!
Yesterday, it finally felt as though Spring had sprung, and I’m super excited for warmer weather!
Today, I’m sharing this outfit with you, that I’m wearing out today for a Mothers Day lunch with my family.
For me, it’s the perfect look. Pastel tones and loose silhouettes keep it casual enough for my style, but the skirt adds the fancier element needed.
Style notes: I’ve gone with my ever favourite front tuck method here. I love how the jumper falls at the back when tucked in only at the front. Sleeves are rolled up neatly to create nice clean lines. In the way of accessories I went for something to toughen it up a bit, by adding studded boots and a small black bag I feel I’ve achieved a nice balance between the two styles! And bonus, the skirt has an elasticated waistband – perfect for tucking into a huge lunch!
So tell me, how do you dress up your casual wardrobe? I’d love to hear!
