I have to admit, this time around I’m starting to get a little uninspired and am looking forward to having the rest of my wardrobe back. We’re on the home stretch now, and I’m always glad to have taken part, especially with such an amazing supportive network of fellow 10×10 participants across social media, in particular Instagram. If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out the #spring10x10 hashtag for plenty of inspiration from others taking part.
For todays outfit, I chose a super simple, back to black option for a meal out for my mums birthday. The faux leather jacket isn’t one of my 10 pieces, but I needed a jacket and I wasn’t going to freeze for the sake of it! As you know, I don’t believe there’s any such thing as cheating in these challenges, it’s all part of the fun and the learning experience, after all!
The weather today has been glorious, a chilly wind but lovely warm sunshine all day, so no problems with going bare legs in the evening. I added the jacket to just help keep the chill off.
Style notes: I kept the palette clean and monochromatic, and added the interest through my accessories. My gorgeous Oliver Bonas necklace makes a statement against the black dress, and I love how it picks out the rose gold on the watch as well. I don’t often wear earrings, but I could also have added some simple rose gold studs too which I think would have been a perfect finishing touch. I wanted to keep the soft tones to contrast the black so went with the cognac booties which also help dress up the outfit.

So tell me, what do you do when you find yourself lacking inspiration during these challenges? Any top tips?
