I’ve been a bit absent on here lately, sometimes life happens and blogging has to take a back seat for a little while. I’m not stressing about it though : )
Today I’m back with another dose of the packing series started back in February when I went to stay with friends in London for the weekend (see here).
This evening I fly to Berlin with a few friends for a short break. We arrive tonight and fly back home on Sunday evening, so although only a short period of time when I checked the weather this morning the days are quite varied!
We don’t land until about 8pm tonight, but even then it’s still due to be around 26 degrees (really?!), dropping to 19 degrees and cloudy tomorrow.
I’ve made sure to pack a few light pieces which I can layer up if needed, with the option of a slightly dressier look if necessary, plus comfy shoes for walking and exploring all day and night.
So, here’s what I’m taking with me:
I’ve chosen to take a mixture of pieces, some from my Spring capsule, a couple I’ve pulled from storage and the odd cheeky new addition which I’ve purchased ready for Summer – yes, the Summer Capsule wardrobe planning is in full swing, ready to start transitioning in June (when hopefully the UK weather will be heading into full Summer mode too!).
I’m only taking a weekend bag with me, and as I’ll wear the more bulky pieces on the plane (knit + jeans + jacket + converse) I’m confident the rest will fit easily into my bag, alongside my kindle, phone and toiletries!
If you’d like to see what we get up to on the trip, I’ll no doubt be Instagramming away, so make sure to follow along!
How do you plan for a short weekend break? Do you tend to overpack or find you run out of options? Do you have any trips coming up soon? Let me know!
