Hello! Happy Monday! I hope your Monday is brighter than mine, we have had non stop rain all day here and moody grey skies. Summer, where have you gone?!
Today I’ve been busy working away on my Summer Capsule wardrobe and finalising a few bits ready to share the final edit with you all in a couple of weeks time : ) Can you believe we’re already in June?!
It’s occurred to me today that it’s been a while since I’ve done a good old fashioned outfit post on here, so to make up for it I’ve got a whole week of outfits coming your way!
Expect to see a few different pieces from my Spring capsule as I’ve been pulling things from storage like crazy due to some rather lovely sunny weather. And as I’m sure I’ve mentioned previously, right now is kind of the uncertain-in-between-crossover period between leaving wool behind for a few months and whipping out some shorts (!).
So, let’s get on with today’s outfit!
Does this outfit really even count as an outfit? I’m basically wearing loungewear. BUT loungewear that’s acceptable to leave the house in. So I guess that does count, right?
This cropped stripey top is an old favourite of mine, I’ve had it a few years now and it’s still going strong. I really love the shape of it and it pairs really well with high waisted bottoms. I’ve worn the joggers today for comfort as I’m at home all day but they can easily be swapped for my high waisted jeans if I wanted to feel a bit smarter.
When at home I swapped the Birkenstocks for cosy socks, and when I popped out quickly to the shops I simply threw my denim jacket on over the top (seriously, where has the sunshine gone?!).
You may have noticed a different set up in my photos, simply for no other reason than it was raining outside and the room I usually take photos in was really dark – cue a quick ‘shove everything out of the way and set the camera up in here’ moment.
So that’s it for today! I promise I have got some more interesting outfits to share with you this week, but Mondays call for comfort, right?!
Do you have a favourite loungewear outfit? And how do you adapt it to pop out to the shops if needed?
See you tomorrow!
