Welcome to the first outfit of the Summer 10×10 challenge. I’m super excited to kick this challenge off, I’m really pleased with my selection and am looking forward to making lots of outfits out of minimal pieces!
This time around I don’t really have a particular aim as such, in the past I’ve done the challenge to try and find new ways to wear pieces, but this time I’m in it just for the pure fun of it : )
And of course, if I do discover something new along the way – great!
I’ll be posting my outfits in flatlay form daily over on Instagram so be sure to follow along if you like : )
To be totally honest and transparent with you – I’ll be sharing an outfit each day Monday to Friday, although I may not have worn that outfit the entire day. Instead I’ll be wearing my 10×10 outfits either after work, or on a day off, and be sharing them with you throughout the week. Either way, it’ll still be 10 items for 10 days, so I’m guessing it’s still OK, right?!
You may notice I’ve stepped outside for these photos, we’re part way through doing up our garden and this wildflower area is my favourite part right now, so Glyn was on boyfriend duties and snapped these shots for me. I think he’s done a pretty good job!
Style notes: Love this loose on top, fitted on bottom silhouette. It’s got that summer element with the blue denim rather than my usual black, plus the rips and distressing add to the summery vibe. This is the t-shirt that I ended up getting instead of the burgundy one I included in my summer capsule, it’s the same as the blush one I have and I just love the fit! A simple front tuck works well for this outfit, and I added the belt and hat to ground the outfit with black. I gave the jeans a small double roll rather than a large cuff, just because I fancied changing it up a little.
See you tomorrow for outfit number 2!
