Today I’m sharing my second 5 outfits with you – see my first 5 here – and later this week I’ll be doing a proper wrap up post with a full recap and any findings I may have from the challenge. If you’d like me to answer any questions please leave them in the comments!
Olive jumper + straight jeans + ankle boots
In my opinion, a much nicer combination than the jumper with the vintage style jeans. I think the darker tones are more flattering and I just feel a lot more comfortable in this outfit than the other. I did toy with the idea of the metallic trainers but I decided to make it a little fancier and went with ankle boots and added my fedora to smarten the whole look. This jumper has fast become one of my most worn pieces since I got it at the end of Summer, so definitely a worthy investment!
Cable knit + straight jeans + ankle boots
I love this look! I kept the styling super simple (as in, there is none) and just added the hat to dress it up a little. I wore this outfit on Friday evening just to go round to my parents house for dinner, so it was perfect for a cosy, comfortable evening in. I love the cropped jumper with the high waist of the jeans, and if it’s really chilly I can always layer a trusty thermal underneath!
Stripes + cardigan + light wash jeans
This was the best outfit for a day of running errands and relaxing at home before heading out for dinner and drinks in the evening. I always like my tops tucked into my high waisted bottoms – probably why every outfit this time looks so similar! – and here I added a belt for a bit more definition. I’m sure the single turn up on these jeans is the way forward, as it seems to work with both boots and trainers.
Floral + boots + jacket
For dinner and drinks, I changed into the floral dress layered up with tights and a jacket. I actually ended up wearing a different jacket just because it was freezing! I added a couple of small necklaces and my black bag and felt suitably dressed up for the occasion. I’m so glad I included this dress in my 10 pieces because I’m now confident I can wear it in many different ways.
Burgundy jumper + vintage fit jeans + ankle boots
This was my final 10×10 look, but I have to be honest, I wore these jeans to walk the dog the day before and they got totally filthy. Cue an earlier wash than planned and repeating outfit 1 instead. However I do really love this look. I like the darker colour on top of the light jeans, and the black accents tie everything together. Plus it’s super comfortable.
Thanks so much to everyone who’s joined in and/or followed along on this challenge! And be sure to check back later in the week for a full recap post!
